Our Quotes are currently closed, so here is what you can do in the meantime to prepare for when they are open:

Have a reference sheet ready!

• Make sure that you have an unshaded and clear up to date reference sheet available that preferably has 2 or 3 different views and angles of your character!
  A Front and Back view is preferred, but a side view or a headshot is extremely helpful too.
  We want to be able to capture your character and vision perfectly in your suit, so the more information and visual references that you have, the better!

• ​

• But what if you don't have a reference sheet, and you're not an artist?
  No problem! GWW has a few artists who we highly recommend to go to for any of your reference sheet or designing needs! Just be sure to mention that you are looking at getting a new reference sheet for a fursuit commission from Glitchy Weasel Works.

• We also can offer to help you create a reference sheet using a base that we have on hand for an extra fee.
  
  GWW will also have an Artistic Liberty option if you have an idea for a suit concept or design but you don't quite have a specific design in mind. We are more then happy to work with you to bring your idea to life!

• Check out our Pre-Mades list HERE! These designs are always available to pre-claim unless stated otherwise. Bonus is no quote is needed for these designs as the cost is already calculated in advance, and once pre-claimed the design will automatically be bumped into our queue without having to wait for a quote or commission opening.

• Take measurements

  • While this isn't necessary for submitting a quote, measurements will be helpful for calculating a quote especially for items such as paws or fursuit accessories. Taking a few measurements to start such as the palm of your hand, wrists, and head measurements, knowing the length of tail that you would like, or working on a duct tape dummy while waiting for our quotes to open will help save a lot of time for everyone involved and if you are accepted for a commission will speed up the process for you.

• Put everything in a nice little document for later

  • This will help make the quote forum way easier for you to fill out when they are open!
    Here is an example of a document that GWW has used to help organize all of the commission information for a character (any maker will thank you for making up a document like this, not just GWW!):

  • While we love matching and choosing furs (and we are pretty good at it!), you are welcome to go the extra mile and look up furs that you like and would think would match your character! If you plan on doing this, we recommend to take a look at our two most common fur suppliers Howl Fabrics and BigZ Fabrics. While GWW might have different fur suggestions or maybe even alternative fur options that are not listed on this site which might be a better match, these suggestions can still be helpful to us to see and understand your vision for your suit that you would like us to create!

• Start saving up

  • This is by far the hardest one! Take a look at our pricing page and from there try and get an idea on how much you might have to budget for. Please remember that all prices listed on our pricing page is the minimum amount, so please be sure to save up more then what is listed unless if you are a simple one coloured white canine.
